What Time is the Right Time?

Ever since Daylight Savings Time ended (which I totally missed by the way) I've been thinking a lot about timing. What time is the right time to do something?

Of course some things are obvious, I know what time to get up in order to beat the traffic into work, I know when I need to eat, or pay bills, or go to sleep (mostly), but what about things that aren't so fixed?

If I was thinking about buying a condo, going into business or entering into a relationship, what time is the right time for those things?  I'm an analyzer so I research, I plan, I make lists and I repeat steps 1, 2 and 3. Over and over and again.

Timing is tricky and a little scary.  I've hesitated in the past  and missed that window of opportunity. I've also been afraid to leap because if I did, the result could be ..... Hello Humiliation, my name is Kem!

Or maybe not. Who says timing gets to be the big scary boss of me?

Yes, I should take timing into consideration when making a big decision, and yes there is such a thing as missing a chance at something. However, there is also such as thing as hustle, and hard work and focus.  Perhaps I didn't take advantage of an opportunity because deep down I knew I wasn't ready yet.   That doesn't mean that  I am doomed to sit around waiting for my next chance. I am willing to put the work in, so  I have the power to create my own opportunities. People do it every day.

Not only that, as tech and social media seep into every aspect of my life, so does the ability to create my own success.  12 years ago there was no such thing  as YouTube, so who knew that today people would be creating careers out of making YouTube videos in their bedrooms? Or blogging?  Or Instagram?  Twitter is the new LinkedIn? Who knew?

Rules are changing every day because we change them. We don't have to be afraid of or controlled by timing.  All we have to do is respect it and take it into consideration as we find inspiration, stay motivated and to go after the opportunities that we create for ourselves.

Any time can be the right time.
