Part Four: This Lazy Girl's Guide to Wine, The Series

Hey there fellow Lazy Girls!  I know it's been a minute since my last Wine post.  My alter ego  as someone's employee has kept me busier than I would have liked.  But I'm baaack!

Today I'd like to talk about Wine in the Winter months.  As the mercury continues to drop, what kinds of wines should we be drinking? Well, there are 2 answers to that question......The first is any kind of wine you doggone well please, and the second answer is whatever kind of wine you doggone well please, and the third is...Ha! Look at that, I guess there are three answers to that question!

The third answer is simple.  You want a fuller bodied wine in the winter,  a wine that can stand up next to the heavier winter comfort foods we tend to gravitate to.  Hearty soups, pastas  with rich sauces and various potato dishes need a wine that can hold its own.   I tend to  think of Reds, like Pinot Noir, Shiraz or maybe a Zinfandel.  However there are plenty of White wines out there that can stand up next to the Cassoulets and Gnocchis filled with Ricotta that many of us will be shoveling into our cake holes this winter. Or perhaps that's just me. Hey, I'm here for it.  I'm a hibernator, I loathe being cold and have no problem cracking open a nice bottle of wine, pouring it into a pretty glass and pairing it with a delivered pizza.

Wine goes with anything!

In conclusion Wine Lovers... Wine isn't just for Spring picnics and Summers spent on the deck.  Wine goes with all Four Seasons, like your favorite pair of jeans, so drink up!
