Accessories Elevated and Maximized

I tend to do multiples of things. If you've read my other posts, you'll see a few repeated themes... the color pink, tiny things and more is more. What can I say? I'm nothing if not consistent.

As a lover of costume jewelry, sunglasses and shoes, I needed a display that did double duty as elevated storage.  The funny thing is, as much as I tried to express my inner free spirit in my living space, I was reluctant to go big or go home in my vanity area.  I held back and worried that my ideas were too much.  Was this too bold,  was this too tacky?  I poured over design blogs and Pinterest pages looking for validation of my vision.  And then I snapped out of it and did exactly what I wanted.

Here is the result....

I plan to do a full house tour in the near future, but for now, here is a sneak peek of the largest wall if my vanity area.  I wanted to celebrate my everyday jewelry.  My pieces aren't family heirlooms or even all that expensive, but everything I own is beautiful to me.  I love looking at them as much as I do wearing them. I like being surrounded by my pretty things.  Every time I get dressed I get to see what I have and be inspired by it. What could be better than that?

In addition to my jewelry, I also like shoes and sunglasses.  All of this love was spilling out of my tiny walk-in closet.  Although I have maximized every inch of that closet, I needed more space, and I wanted to be able to see what I have.  So I used the smaller wall spaces to hang my heeled shoes and sunglasses.

Take a look...

I used small towel rods to hang my high heels and my sunglasses.  Every morning I shop my selections and I don't have to worry about falling into that 'out of sight out of mind' trap.  I get to see what I have and that makes me happy.
